NEXT STOP: WIESBADEN OST

In her animated film Nächster Halt: Wiesbaden Ost, Mara Weinert captures the sense of being in between different things: between the station and the train and the train and the bus, a conversation unfolds between two cheerfully animated octopi. Their voices are the original recordings of a random dialogue captured by artist Weinert in everyday life. As part of a series in which additional recorded fragments are transferred into a new context by her own animations and thus become visible and audible, Nächster Halt: Wiesbaden Ost functions like a diary. A note about the places we perhaps only find ourselves in order to get from A to B.
