THE SUN STILL SHINES UNTIL IT GOES DOWN

Lotto is travelling. And we travel with him for several moments, on the rails, as blind passengers whose gaze is directed at the ground beneath him rushing past. In their hugely dense documentary essay, Sophia Bohnacker and Orlando carry us off into a radical world and approach to life, a state of constant movement without any sort of comfort: freight hopping, the illegal and hugely dangerous use of goods trains to travel. A doll with an orange safety vest based on Lotto that is sometimes animated becomes a placeholder for a man that we only see parts of, but who lets us share in his thoughts nonetheless. Feelings of freedom and a lack of boundaries alternate with dystopian associations, the deafening drone of the tracks pushes Die Sonne Scheint Noch Bis Sie Untergeht into its own unique rush.
